Meet Blanche, a playful and energetic 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who’s looking for her forever family! This smart, spunky girl weighs about 50 pounds, is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all her shots. Born on 10/21/23, Blanche is still very much a puppy at heart, full of energy and eager to learn.

Blanche is a beta female who thrives with strong leadership and an assertive handler. She’s playful and friendly with all dogs and most people, though she prefers to approach new people on her own terms. Strangers should let her come to them, as she’s not a big fan of petting right away—but once she’s comfortable, her playful and friendly nature shines through! 

Blanche is part of the Leash on Life Prison Pup Program, where she’s working on perfecting her commands and is already kennel and house trained. This smart girl already knows “sit,” “stay,” “come,” and “down,” and she walks well on a leash. Blanche has some impressive tricks up her sleeve, too—she can stand on her hind legs, walk, and even pirouette! She can also wave bye-bye and is eager to learn even more. With her high energy and enthusiasm for life, Blanche would thrive in a home where she can continue to grow and learn with an experienced handler who can provide structure and guidance.
