Our Story

Founded in 1999, the Humane Society of McCormick County was formed to combat the growing pet population in the neighborhoods and town of McCormick and surrounding areas in the county. An initial set up was behind the volunteer fire station with approximately five pens and a couple of igloos. The make shift office was a cigar box. Eventually a small shed was established for supplies and continued to grow from there.
